The Pecorino grape is a light-skinned grape grown in Italy’s eastern coastal regions. Pecorino-based wine is usually dry, and straw-yellow in color. The name Pecorino means “little sheep”, and is perhaps more widely associated with Pecorino cheese. The grape is so called because it is said to be a favorite treat for flocks of sheep driven to lower pastures. “Colline Pescaresi” refers to the “hills of Pescaresi.”
